Do you have the guts to wear this shirt and “out” yourself as a person with mental health issues? It’s a great shirt to remind the general public that no, they can’t pick an insane person by sight, and that yes, insane people really do act perfectly normally most of the time in most situations. The word ‘sick’ can mean manay things, and I find that leaving the precise meaning open to speculation can sometimes be … rather interesting.

Sometimes we just don’t feel as “gung ho” and “out there” as the slogans on some of these shirts. I decided I wanted to design some “more gentle” slogans for those days that people needed some TLC and this was my first try.

I already have a shirt with the slogan “Dangerously Under-Medicated” on it … but for me, with a chronic illness and a tablet, pill, lotion, potion, liquid, or capsule for nearly every symptom on mother earth, it always seems to me I am much closer to being dangerously over-medicated than to that!

Not so fond of your meds? Meds don’t work anyway? Not your first priority? Better advertise it to the unsuspecting world so they can give you a wide berth … hopefully wide enough that you get a seat on the train!
